A Definitive Call
My call to ministry is without question. Sensing the Lord's call at the age of 17 I failed to respond for a very long nine years. After spending 3 years and 7 months in the military I went to work for General Dynamics in Ft.Worth in May 0f 1969. Over the next 18 months I would have 6 jobs. Me and My "bride"of 42 years (this coming July) moved to Corpus Christi in Nov.of 1970 where over the next 3 years I would have 3 more jobs(That's 9 in 4 and one-half years). The Lord would let me have no peace for He had made me and called me not myself. My point is simple,I could do nothing else the call was definitive ...........no question.
My counsel to all who are in the pastorate ....you should have a unquestionable call to preach the unsearchable riches of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
